Edmonton-based artist, Renee Shelast, combines movement with colour. In an effort to create depth and texture, layers of medium and paint are added using palette knives. She has the ability to use the Act and React process which freely allows the painting guide her. Using colours as an inspiration, this piece called Fireworks, is a well-balanced concept that opens the mind and allows the viewer to build a connection with the artist.
